My Background
I am a qualified psychotherapeutic counsellor and a registered member of BACP. I integrate person-centred, transactional analysis and gestalt approaches in my work that to accommodate client’s needs and provide specially tailored support.
I specialise in helping individuals navigate trauma, abuse, and the complex aftermath of domestic and sexual violence. My practice is dedicated to addressing also burnout and enhancing self-esteem, providing a nurturing space to overcome challenges and find resilience. I help with navigating cultural identity issues, relocation, and adjustments, providing tailored support for a smooth and empowered transition.
I keep as a core belief that nurturing environment with sufficient professional support can provide necessary conditions to the person in finding their own answers and solutions, as everyone’s path is unique. I aim to bring my knowledge and experience that to help a client to make changes, when they encounter difficulties. During short-term work (6-12 sessions) you can address a specific issue, such as anxiety, depression or stress. I offer a non-judgemental and confidential environment to explore difficult issues and find a new way of managing your problems that to live a more fulfilling life.
Supporting victims of domestic violence and abuse, I was especially interested in healing and recovery after trauma. I apply integrative and holistic approach which includes mindfulness, journaling, meditation, and healthy eating. I delivered a workshop on healthy eating in the Gaia Centre (Refuge).
My background lays in journalism and human rights activism. I lived in 5 different countries, what gave me an opportunity to broaden and deepen my experience in understanding of isolation and belonging. I have a special interest in music, literature and creative arts, which I followed through my life, as it brings another therapeutic dimension on the way of healing.
I teach counselling and psychotherapy at local colleges and I am passionate about sharing knowledge and shaping the future of therapeutic care. Additionally, my role as a clinical lead in a charity enables me to contribute expertise while implementing effective therapeutic practice, ensuring the highest standard of support for clients.
